The Kugu 1 is a classic 12-person yacht of the ‘gulet’ type, offering a charming and intimate sailing experience. At 24 meters long, it is the smallest yacht in our fleet, but it still provides ample space and comfort with its six cozy cabins, each featuring en suite bathrooms. The Kugu 1 is renowned for its unique and friendly atmosphere, making everyone on board feel immediately at home.
Built in 1999 in Bodrum, this yacht has a rich history. It became part of the Guldeniz Sailing Cruises fleet in 2012 and underwent a thoughtful renovation in 2018, preserving its authenticity while updating its features. In 2023, all bathrooms were renewed, ensuring modern comfort while maintaining the yacht’s classic charm.
The Kugu 1 is equipped with a generator (220V), air conditioning, an ice machine, and WiFi, ensuring that all essential amenities are at hand. The yacht’s sail area spans 450 m², offering a great sailing performance, which has led to several prizes in the Bodrum Cup sailing regatta.
The name Kugu (pronounced “koehoe”) means ‘swan’, reflecting the yacht’s graceful presence on the water. Despite its smaller size, the Kugu 1 stands out with its welcoming atmosphere and elegant design, making it a perfect choice for an unforgettable sailing adventure.
