About us

Güldeniz Sailing Cruises is founded in 2010 and owner of three beautiful sailing yachts. You can book these with one of our dedicated international travel agencies. On our yachts we offer luxury sailing cruises for groups as well as cabincharters for individual travellers. We organise our cruises with personal attention and a fine eye for detail. Our organisation in Bodrum makes sure that the yachts are in perfect condition and that the whole sailing cruise is operated as arranged. Our specialty is that we reach most distances along the coast by sail. The routes and menus on board are arranged in advance with the travel agency. They often choose for the Güldeniz Sailing yachts because of the excellent crew, service and yachts. We offer:

  • clear information about the yacht that will operate
  • a choiche in different routes and offered services on board
  • local transfers, information and assistance by our own staff
  • in case of unavailability we can offer a good alternative
  • reasonable prices

The team of Güldeniz Sailing Cruises: Hasan, Yusuf, Nedim, Mehmet, Ferhat, Volkan, Ibrahim, Atacan, Mehmetcan, Musa, Yasar en Mete, takes care of an incredible holiday!

We like to introduce our management: Nedim Çetin (Turkish), Ingeborg Oostlander-Çetin en Jankees Salverda (both Dutch). Together we join the best of both worlds in our company.

Nedim Çetin (Aydin, 1973) has 25 years of experience in travel business. 10 years he worked for Tussock Cruising and was the captain of Kugu 1. Now Nedim is general director of Güldeniz Sailing Cruises. He is responsible for the organisation and the training of our crew. Nedim himself really loves the sea and enjoys sailing just as much as his guests!

“I was only 16 years old when I first signed up on a ship as a junior sailorman. Since then this kind of work is my passion and I have worked very hard to become a good and experienced captain. The establishment of Güldeniz Sailing Cruises makes it possible for me to fulfil my personal ideas about quality and skills.”

Jankees Salverda (Zutphen (Netherlands), 1958) originally is a geographer and nowadays working as a consultant in the field of traffic and transport. He was one of the people in the Netherlands to introduce public transport by fast ships. Jankees has over 25 years of experience in business, among others as a human resources manager. In the past he was also member of the local board of the Dutch municipality Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Jankees loves everything about sailing and vouches for a characteristic though modern equipment of our ship.

“The ship’s traditional construction, getting to know the craftsmen in Bodrum, the shipyard where still so many handiwork is being done, the unique permanent mooring in the harbour, everything as special! In Güldeniz Sailing Cruises tradition and innovation travel hand in hand”

Ingeborg Oostlander-Çetin (Boxmeer, 1965) is a self-employed consultant for policy development and implementation in the Netherlands. She aims at connecting different organisations, ideas and people. Ingeborg likes to think across boundaries and nowadays uses her experience in running a business across the border. Ingeborg vouches for translating wishes from clients and partners of Güldeniz and combine these with the possibilities in Turkey.

“I visited Turkey for the first time in 1989, as a passenger on a sailing boat. My love for this country and the life over there did not change ever since. Love also brought me to Bodrum, where I live and now also work part of the year.”
