Bodrum: The Heart of the Blue Cruise
Bodrum is where the Blue Cruise tradition was born—and it’s where your sailing journey begins. Nestled on a sun-kissed peninsula in the Aegean Sea, Bodrum offers the perfect blend of history, charm, and coastal beauty.
Our gulet is moored along the vibrant seafront of Neyzen Tevfik Caddesi, just steps away from the landmark Tepecik Mosque. From here, most of our guests embark on a one-week cruise exploring the turquoise coast and its hidden treasures.
A Coastal Town Steeped in History
Modern-day Bodrum was once the ancient city of Halikarnassos, founded around 1000 B.C. It was home to the Mausoleum of King Mausolos—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Today, its legacy still echoes through the ruins, narrow streets, and historic castle that overlooks the twin bays.
The iconic Bodrum Castle, built by Crusaders in the 15th century, stands proudly between the city’s two harbors and is now home to the Museum of Underwater Archaeology.
A Lively Town with Timeless Charm
Bodrum is a beloved destination for travelers from all over the world. Its whitewashed houses climb the hillsides, its palm-lined promenades invite long, scenic strolls, and its maze of alleyways leads to bustling bazaars, inviting cafés, and rooftop terraces.
You’ll find a mix of old and new—boutique shops, art galleries, traditional Turkish restaurants, and lively bars all coexisting in the relaxed rhythm of coastal life. Despite its popularity, Bodrum has preserved its character: no high-rises, no chaos—just beauty, charm, and sea breezes.
